Well...

It is my last week of work at the lab. It is super-weird. I am actually going to have to clean out my desk and stuff! Creepy.

Also, this weekend I took a quick trip to Austin to have orientation with the director of Makarios, Sharla. I met my future roommate/coworker Kendall, and it was great! Both of us seem to think the whole experience is coming at us too fast to really even process it. The world needs to slow down a just little bit.

This weekend I am going to visit Chicago for the first time to meet some special people! I am very excited, and praying that I don't literally freeze to the point of death. I had to buy a real coat (that I've secretly been wanting forever but never actually bought, since it gets cold approximate 4 days a year in Houston).

Lately, I have just been really interested in any opportunity to visit any new place (hence the Dominican Republic deal). I just feel like there are so many things to see in the world, and why not jump at the chance to see what you can?

Finally, I am still seeing God's faithfulness in bringing support in for the trip. I still need to raise about $1,000, but I know He will provide. I am just trying to soak up all the time I have now with the people I love before i leave!

Besos.
